La evaluación más útil según IndeedThe work is typical factory maintenance. Some days are easier than others, with day shifts primarily focused on PMs and night shifts fixing things that pop up. People tend to get along pretty well, but seniority is literally everything. Days off, shift requests, holidays, OT -- everything goes my how long you have been there. When I was hired, I was told I would usually work Mon-Fri and every other weekend, with some OT during the week as well. However, OT is not mandatory so every day it gets passed from the most senior workers down to the newest. The 12 days in a row maximum I was told to expect became 19 days, of which as many at 15 could be 12-hour shifts. No one wants to work 2nd or 3rd shift, so while days might have more than 10 people working at once, all new people get put on 2nd and 3rd, and those shifts were ALWAYS understaffed. We were told each shift should have 3 people each, we always had 3 people between BOTH shifts, so the shift (2nd or 3rd) would have to alternate 12-hour shift to cover. Then despite 1st shift having 10+ people, if one of them was out for a day, someone on 2nd or 3rd would have to stay or come in early. The last month I was there I worked 25 days straight, the last 18 of them were 12-hour shifts! The senior techs throw their weight around and beat the heck out of anyone new. So when Ball or Coors open positions for a few dollars more per hour, the new people jump ship and the senior techs whine about it.

Good pay , poor leadership

Not the best place considering the leadership. Also no time off for 3 months then very limited pto available. Wouldn't recommend this. Other places offer much more time off day one .

The Factory has been in operation for 50 years . If you are considering employment in the factory, you can expect a lot of overtime, weekends and possibly be on a Backshift. This is considered a training factory by Nestle and as such a lot of salaried leadership people tend to be there for a relatively short period of time. This being the case , by the time they are really getting started , they are moving on to another factory. Consequently, some areas or issues rip for improvement don’t get addressed as efficiently as they should. The good news is that the Plant Manager , the Production Manager , The Human Resources Manager, The Maintenance Manager and The Training Manager seem to be aligned in the belief that work loads and areas of responsibility should be fairly balanced and an equal effort should be expected of everyone . They also share the philosophy of holding people responsible for doing things right and are liberal with Praise and Financial Rewards. It will be hot in the factory and there is not enough supervision on the Backshift, but if you are looking for good pay , steady work and advancement and are willing to work hard , you will most likely be happy here The Good Current Factory Leadership Good Pay Scale Good Benefits Defined Benefit Retirement 401K With Match Opportunities For Improvement Need More Leadership on Backshift Improve Opportunities For Backshift Workers to get weekends off Build upon Initiatives on Fairly Balancing Areas of Responsibility

you get 4 days off a month and will be stuck in second or third for over 5 years before even being considered for first shift

moving up in maintenance is very difficult you will be stuck on the lowest pay level for years while everyone around you will be making top pay doing the same work very unfair pay for new maintenance members

Upper management is a joke they are terrible people. HR never knows their policies and always has to call St. Louis for confirmation on policies. They don't know the difference between a hole in the ground and their butt. Only good thing about the company is the pay and retirement. Turdiest place I've ever worked culture wise.

Wages are falling far behind other business. Management is sneaky and there is a serious favoritism issue. I’ve been there 5 years and have had 3 different plant managers and 4 different hr managers. Forced overtime is a serious issue. Far far understaffed. We work 12 days on and 2 off. You get 4 days off per month. Hope you enjoy watching your kids grow up from photos your wife takes. Did I mention we are underpaid. There are other local businesses that are smaller that make 10-22$ per hour more when topped out depending on your title. But it’s not hard to make 100k here when you work everyday, so there’s that. Zanesville, Ohio plant

Work you 12-2 schedule. Permanently. Really bad morale and they laugh at pay raises . They will provide you with a pizza party thought. Then they offer a bonus on company performance but make the goals almost unattainable

Great benefits and pay but completely overworked

Purina has some great benefits and pay is substantial. Although, working conditions and balance of life from professional to personal is insufficient. Facility is out dated and in some parts lacking care. It lacks crucial amenities like climate control for its employees.

The turn over rate is terrible due to the fact the management force is 23 years old and it's all of their first jobs out of college. The work life balance is horrific and they will lie often about it

The management Department is extremely strict and they do not follow their own guidelines. They are always in a hurry to try to get rid of people for violating safety rules and sometimes the rules are made up as they go. They will tell you have the weekend off and then suddenly you must work. You will put in for vacation time so that you can spend time with your family, and they will be telling you that they are too busy you cannot take it. You will eventually get sick of the people you work around. Because you will be around them seven days a week. you will get tired of the place and you will quit.

They do not follow their own policies. I have been here almost a year and still have not been given any of the required safety equipment. No fall protection, no access to tools or supplies. Need a day off? Only way you will get it is to call off and take a point. Get sick need to take off, get a point. Got something you want to do on your time off? Your gonna get forced in for overtime or take a point. Management is so worried about other things rather than getting the employees what they need to do the job that they want them to do. Not to mention they are so quick to tell you how you should be doing your job but they can’t even do their own job. The sad part here is you have 20 percent of the employees who get worked to death while the other 80 percent get praised taking credit for the 20 percent who do work. If you have a life or family go somewhere else, if not you will never get to really be apart of their lives.

Good place to work, Nice people, training is up to date, very safety oriented. I personally had difficulty with the way the shifts were set up. It was difficult to have a life, while working there. One day every weekend and some Holidays. The crew I worked with on 3rd shift did not have much drive or concern for the company, and left me doing a lot of the work.

Seemed like it was a okay place to work at first. Then soon realized the place is ran by buffoons ( in the Maintnence department) the manager is the leader of the circus he has zero maintenance background and will not admit when he’s wrong, they breed a culture that’s not professional at all. They have no consideration for anyone but themselves if your looking for a career you have to be in the cartoon clan
