Horrible management

Worst supervisors I’ve ever worked for. Pay is decent but lower than most factories in area. Hardest part of job is showing up. Horrible training. If you want to just be a number come to nestle.

Worst at training and terrible HR

This place is the worst place to work! They preach family but are far from it ! They can careless about you ! They rush u throu training then expect you to be a seasoned pro in 2 months! The HR is the worst in central Pennsylvania! They have a worst turnover rate then fast food ! I would not recommend this job to anyone!Even ppl that been there for 10 years plus hate it ! Don’t be fooled by the money it’s not worth it!

Jobs not hard, magenment makes it difficult. Always having product issues, but will make you sit on the clock with no tasks. People enjoy easy money, but I rather be home.

As we continue to expand our business and operations, it can come with potential growing pains like employee count but we’re actively working on ways to better that. Please know, we’re actively working on ways to better work-life balance like, adding to employee headcount.

Your over worked and management hard on you and want more work 12 days straight not enough for them but management gets every weekend off .

Not a good place to work lot of cruel, hateful ppl. They hired horrible management last 3 years . Don't work here. Every time you get your raise yearly there insurance goes up even mire than your raise .they don't care about the ppl

No work life balance at all

No work life balance, pay is fantastic but only if you like to not spend any of your money ever. Coworkers are fantastic but management doesn’t care, dunkirk is just another step for them to get promoted and get their numbers high.

bad company to work for, everyone hooks up with everyone. Not professional. Too hot .. no managment. Broken equipment. No training. Decent pay but not sure its worth it.

This is the absolutely the most horrible job I have ever had.

Don't do it. The only job I have ever really had any regret about. A waste of 3 years of my life and my family's life. 4 years later and still would rather do anything than ever work for Nestlé again.

Instructed no training or support. Your on your own and people are rude. No ‘inclusive’ culture. Your on your own with no guidance. You will be on nights once hired

Cut throat and out to get people.

Horrible place to work, if you don’t die from the heat, the huge flies will tote you off. No adequate training programs or support. Management is looking to point fingers and to throw people under the buss to save their butts at all costs. Human Resources issue write ups without proper investigation and shows extreme favoritism.

I loved my job and my co workers. It was a great place for a career just management was not being held accountable for the decisions they made during work

Run!

I’ve never felt so nervous in my life! Management is a secretive, arrogant, young bunch that love to see you fail. Good employees are treated poorly and bad employees are coddled. Communication is not just poor it doesn’t exist. They preach being autonomous but want to micro-manage everything you do, & if it’s not their idea it’s wrong! Don’t expect to advance here either unless you want to move across the country every few years Lean workplace that’s too lean! Do the job of 5 & get yelled at when you run behind

Factory Leadership is a clique

The FLT (factory leadership team) consists of socially awkward, arrogant, and self-serving clique. They are inclusive when it suits them and exclusive in most situations. Poor management led to Maintenance dept unionizing

Weird culture, false promises, Immature managers-no life experiences, only 1 has a child. They do not know what it is to have a family and work.

Would not recommend working here.

If you want to work all day everyday with no life please apply at Nestlé Purina. If you like your family and social life go elsewhere. I had 3 good offers and choose to work here because of Monday thru Friday and work life balance but clearly the upper management does not care. And they put on a front in the interview and orientation, had scheduled days off and they said no it will count towards your attendance. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to work and great pay.

Nestle Purina is a great place to work with great pay and benefits. Days go by fast because you're too busy to look at the clock. When you first start it may feel frustrating because you're in training and not experienced enough for the job. Once you get use to things it will be easy. The only negative is some people like to wait till someone mess up and run and tell on you. But the main thing is everyone regardless of what job you have is there to collect a pay check to pay bills, car notes, mortgage, a family etc. Why try to get someone in trouble when you don't know if he or she has a family to take care of. But those same people who like to run and tell would be the first ones crying if they lost they jobs. But for the most part you follow rules and safety you should be fine.

A good job but no life

if you have a no family with no wife or kids this is the job for you. Work 12 hr force days you on pins and needles for 4 months on probation and the team leaders have a massive power trip but after you make it the 4 months you can make great money.

Poor upper management, dirty dusty environment.

Plant manager is disengaged in the day to day business and does not want to be bothered with it. Very hypocritical of his employees and talks terrible about all of them. Will always talk of improvements but will never make it happen. What I have learned about working there is people will turn on you and turn you in to HR constantly. The work place environment is horrible, very dirty and dusty. The fellow associates are hard to get along with and only look out for themselves. If they don't like you don't plan on being there long!! They will make your life miserable and very hard on you.

Dont bother unless you have a family member working here..

Completely biased hiring process. They will waste your time filling there quota then hire there nieces and nephews. Most people won't even bother reapplying simply for the fact they know its a sham interviewing process. And what they do to the temps is criminal. You have people that temp here for 8+ years and never get hired full time while the regular employee's hire there kids. Its disgusting and criminal.

Typical day at work

Working at Purina was an easy job and very flexible with my schedule until my disabilities affected working at Purina which made it very difficult for me to maintain.

12 days on,then 2 days off. Can be forced to work 72 hours a week. Good team work on lower levels. Management clueless follows Nestle Methodologies as a bible. No input or discretion required.

Tough Job

Forced 12 hour days frequently. Physically demanding. High stress job. Corporate pushes for the out put, reasonably. However, the facility and conditions are still very outdated for what is expected of the employees and machines alike.
